Chapter 01 · The brief
Paper records and generic case systems. A domain that needed its own product.
An ex-police K9 officer who knew what was missing — and founded a company to build it.
An ex-police officer with K9 handling experience founded a company to modernise the case management and training record systems used by canine policing units. The existing tools were paper-based or generic case management systems that didn't understand the K9 domain.
Handler certifications, dog training records, deployment logs, and incident records all carry domain-specific requirements that generic tools don't accommodate. The gap was a product built specifically for how K9 units actually operate — across jurisdictions, across agencies, with different operational rules in each.
Chapter 02 · Build
Built from scratch with the founder. Domain knowledge preserved in the data model.
Vatsa built the product from scratch with the founder — starting with the case management core and extending to training record management, certification tracking, and deployment logging.
The platform was built to support multiple agencies in isolation, with configurable workflows for each jurisdiction's operational rules. The founder's domain knowledge was embedded directly in the product's data model and workflow logic — not left as documentation, but expressed as the structure of the system itself.
Chapter 03 · Outcomes
Deployed to law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
The platform shipped and was deployed to law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions. The founder's domain knowledge — built from years of operational K9 work — was preserved in the product's data model and workflow logic rather than lost in generic tooling.
