Chapter 01 · The brief
Single-user. Non-responsive. No web access.
Calibration records locked inside a desktop application with no path to modernisation.
A leading manufacturer of IT and office automation equipment in Oman was managing its calibration program through a legacy desktop application. The system was single-user, non-responsive, and increasingly difficult to maintain. Calibration records, schedules, and certificates were locked in a format with no web access — visible to one person at one desk at a time.
As the factory floor and quality office needed to work in parallel, the limitations were becoming a daily constraint.
Chapter 02 · Build
A responsive web platform covering the full calibration lifecycle.
Vatsa replaced the desktop system with a responsive web application covering the complete calibration lifecycle — instrument registration, calibration scheduling, results recording, certificate generation, and due-date alerting.
The new system was accessible from any device on the factory network. Calibration records could be viewed and updated by the quality team and the factory floor simultaneously, without the single-user bottleneck of the legacy client.
Chapter 03 · Outcomes
Calibration records available across the factory — simultaneously.
Calibration records became accessible across the factory floor and quality office simultaneously. Certificate generation time dropped from hours to minutes. The quality team could manage calibration schedules proactively rather than reactively.
